CIEE Language in Context Program in Alicante, Spain

On a mission to learn Spanish quickly? CIEE's Language in Context program is your perfect study abroad match. Build a strong foundation in the Spanish language, and experience Spanish culture firsthand in the historic and relaxing Mediterranean city of Alicante. A combination of intensive language study, English-taught electives, and a conversation exchange program ensure you improve your language skills in no time. Plus, volunteering opportunities and cultural activities throughout the country help you become one of the locals.

Study abroad in Alicante and you'll:

  • Take a variety of courses in subjects such as women's issues, art history, cinema, international relations, and literature
  • Become a member of a Spanish family or live in the dorms with Spanish or international students
  • Participate in day excursions and field trips related to academic coursework, such as visits to museums, theaters, cultural sites, and other important Spanish cities
