YOUR ASA EXPERIENCE

You will receive individualized support from ASA’s advisors and staff throughout your program application process, while you are abroad, and when you return.

Before you depart we will work with you and the staff at your home institution to help you prepare for your time abroad by giving you personal access to our Student Success program, which will help you maximize your experience in your host country. You will also receive a detailed pre-departure orientation guide which will help you know what to pack, what to expect when you arrive, and how to stay safe while abroad. 

Once you arrive in London you will participate in our onsite orientation with the other ASA students in your group. ASA’s site director will introduce you to your host city and culture through orientation and multiple events during the program. Our intentionally small group sizes allow ASA’s students to get to know one another and are an aspect of our programs for which our alumni consistently express their appreciation. You will have opportunities to meet other students and lots of new people through your classes, social events and optional language partners.

COURSES

A semester-long internship in London with ASA costs $3,495 and includes resume advising, internship placement, international medical insurance, on-site orientation and support, and cell phone.  Housing is not included with this fee, so students participating in a semester-long internship are responsible for their own housing.  However, we can assist you in finding appropriate housing during your internship by putting you in touch with some student housing providers in London. 

In addition, this fee does not include the visa necessary in order to intern in the UK. The maximum duration of a semester internship is 6 months, but typically Spring semester internships run from February to May, and Fall semester internships typically run from September to December.
