Jerusalem's landscape and allure are as ancient and diverse as its people. A central intersection of religions, ethnic groups and nations throughout history and today, it is one of the longest living laboratories of coexistence in the world. Fascinating archeological sites and amazingly modern arts, theater and music, architecture and culinary delights spring from a rich variety and overwhelm the senses. Want to explore the challenges and opportunities of coexistence? This ancient global melting pot holds lessons for communities around the world experiencing the massive demographic shifts from globalization.

Program Highlights
  • Explore the intersections between identity, religion, community, nationalism and diversity in the city of coexistence.
  • Engage in an interdisciplinary study of Israel's approach to pluralism and social cohesion.
  • Beyond the classroom the Alliance introduces you to Israelis representing a variety of religious, ethnic and sexual identities as well as different political and socioeconomic backgrounds.
