Program Overview
This exciting new program examines the differences between business practices in the United States and Italy. The course provides an overview of the unique economic, business, social, and cultural dimensions of Italy as the fourth largest economy in Europe. There will be a particular focus on the bilateral business and economic relationships between Italy and the United States. Through a series of background readings, structured company visits, and interaction with local business leaders from Rome, students gain increased appreciation for the diversity of business practices in European economies.  The three components of the course are: (1) Preparation phase of readings, offering some context to the Italian culture and the economy; (2) Visits to businesses in Rome and surroundings; (3) Concluding component, involving an integrative project and a debriefing and assessment exercise.
Accommodations and Meals:
Accommodations for the entirety of the trip are provided in the cost of the program. Students will be housed in a centrally located hotel or hostel. Also included are daily breakfasts, as well as welcome and departure meals.
