Program Description:

USA Exchange: Fuzhou, China

Exchange programs are international university partnerships with which USA has a special, reciprocal relationship. USA students are directly enrolled in the host university and students from the host university attend USA. ALL students participating on exchange programs pay USA tuition at the in-state rate, and will be billed directly through their PAWS account.

Description of campus:
The USA-FUZC Program is an American-Chinese education cooperation program, which is both cross-discipline and cross-culture. The purpose of this program is to: (i) advance academic cooperation between University of South Alabama (USA) and Fuzhou University Zhicheng College (FUZC); (ii) strengthen the international collaboration in higher education to facilitate the fulfillment of USA’s important mission of internationalization; and (iii) enhance the nongovernmental cultural communication between the US and China. 

Description of the location:
FUZC is located in Fuzhou, the provincial capital of Fujian in China (right across from Taiwan). FUZC is a comprehensive institution with a total student population of more than 12,000. FUZC is USA’s most important collaborating institution in China. USA and FUZC began the academic interchange cooperation since 2009. There have been four formal visits between two institutions. Currently, there are more than 20 FUZC students studying in various USA undergraduate/graduate programs. Additionally, a group of 22 FUZC students visited USA for a summer camp program in July 2013.
