USA Exchange at University of Cologne


Exchange programs are international university partnerships with which USA has a special, reciprocal relationship. USA students are directly enrolled in the host university and students from the host university attend USA. ALL students participating on exchange programs pay USA tuition at the in-state rate, and will be billed directly through their PAWS account.

Description of Campus:
The University of Cologne is set on a large urban campus in the heart of the lively and thriving city of Cologne. It is one of the leading German research universities and is one of eleven German Excellence Universities.  The campus has great sports facilities and a university gym. Over 120 different sports are offered to students through the university sports club, ranging from Aikido to windsurf camps. Student clubs, a student theater, the Collegium musicum and their Campus Radio offer exciting extra-curricular opportunities.

Description of the Location:
The University of Cologne receives about 5,000 international students from 129 countries. An additional 1,000 students are exchange students. The surrounding Rhineland is one of Europe's most developed economic regions. Cologne is famous for it's 12 great Romanesque churches- especially the magnificent Cologne Cathedral-on the Rhine river.
